Moving from TextPattern to ExpressionEngine

Earlier this Fall, Nathan Pitman began documenting his experience and steps of migrating his personal site from TextPattern to ExpressionEngine. I’m not sure if he’s finished the series yet, but the first five steps he posted should be helpful to anyone in the same situation.

Hi Ryan. Thanks for linking to my series on migrating from Textpattern to ExpressionEngine.

Whilst I’m done for the most part I now need to find the time to migrate the ‘design’ across to the EE install, which has me tempted to undertake a re-design!

I think the only real issue left to resolve right now bar the design is the redirection of old URLs to the new EE equivalent URLs.

I’ll try and get the write up wrapped up soon so that others can learn from it. smile
